Airport News: Beijing (PEK)

Tomorrow (Feb. 29th) Terminal 3 of the new Capital International Airport opens for trial operations. Once the airport is complete it may well be the largest building in the world.

Starting off the only international airlines operating out of Terminal 3 will be British, El Al, Qantas and Qatar. In two waves, on March 26th and March 30th, most of the One World and Star Alliance carriers will be following:

MARCH 26th: Air Canada, Air China, Air Macau, Air New Zealand, All Nippon Airways, Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Dragonair, Egyptair, Emirates Airline, Finnair, Hainan Airlines (international only), Japan Airlines, LOT Polish Airlines

MARCH 30th: Lufthansa, S7 Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines System, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways International, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines

Airport Hotel Guru: Sino Swiss Hotel BeijingIn terms of hotels at the new Capital International Airport, your best option of the properties currently open is the Sino Swiss Hotel Beijing. The Sino Swiss offers a free airport shuttle from 6am to 11pm. The hotel also has a popular pool and gym.

Langham is set to open what looks like it will be the most luxurious PEK airport hotel.
